What do Scouts do?

Scouts is where young people make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills.

Join Scouts

Every week we give almost half a million 4-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing.

But, we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.

Wait List

As we are a very popular organisation in Dunblane, we have to operate a waiting list which is managed by our Membership Secretary via the joining form below. Unfortunately, we can only accept children who live in the FK15 postcode area.

After completing the form below, an email will be sent to you confirming that your young person is on the waiting list. Consider adding membership@dunblanescouts.com to your contacts list to ensure that you receive this and future emails. This especially applies to hotmail account users.

If you change your email address whilst your son or daughter is on the waiting list, please notify us as soon as possible either via email or the form below.

Priority Placement

Many of our volunteers are parents of group members

Did you know, we award young people priority placement in the section of their choice (when numbers allow), if they have a parent who volunteers regularly, usually as a section leader, for the group.

If you would be interested in learning more about priority placement for group volunteers, contact the Group Lead Volunteer (groupscoutleader@dunblanescouts.com) to discuss.

Unfortunately, due to parents volunteering only as long as needed to receive placement, we have to require a short probationary period before priority placement can be awarded.

Fancy it?

Everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting. And we’ll help find it.
