The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme works to make safer appointment decisions, making sure only appropriate people work with vulnerable groups, including young people. The scheme is managed by Disclosure Scotland. PVG scheme membership lasts for five years.

When you apply to the scheme Disclosure Scotland carries out criminal record checks. You’ll get a disclosure which shows the results of these checks. You can share this disclosure with the organisation you’re applying with. They can use this information to help decide if you’re right for the role you’re applying for.

After filling out the form below, PVG applicants will be invited to an in-person meeting with a member of the 4th/85th Dunblane Scouts PVG team who will verify the applicant’s identity via three documents, with at least one of these documents being photographic. Examples of acceptable documents include your passport, driving license, birth certificate, marriage certificate, a utility bill (name and address only, not the details), council tax statement, or bank statement (name and address only, not the details), P45 or P60 (name and address only, not the details).
